1. A professional room
SydGiG is a workplace. People hire and get hired from every region, language, and culture. Be direct, be fair, and do not punch down. Last updated 1 September 2026.
2. Respect and equality
- No hate speech, slurs, or discrimination based on race, colour, ethnicity, nationality, caste, religion, belief, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, disability, age, veteran status, or other protected characteristics under applicable law (including EU equality directives, UK Equality Act 2010, US federal and state civil-rights laws, and local equivalents worldwide).
- No sexual harassment in messages, meetings, or briefs.
- Respect pronouns and names people use.
- Debate ideas; do not attack people.
3. Reviews
- Review only engagements you actually had.
- Stick to the work: scope, communication, delivery, payment behaviour.
- Do not mention unrelated private facts, health, or family.
- Do not offer to change a review in exchange for money outside the order.
- Sellers: do not retaliate against a Buyer for an honest negative review with threats or extra public shaming.
4. Messages and meetings
- Record a meeting only if every participant consents and local two-party consent recording laws are followed (many US states, parts of the EU, Australia, and others require all-party consent).
- Do not share meeting links publicly if they are meant to be private.
- No pornographic or sexually explicit content in professional rooms.
- Keep files free of malware.
5. Cross-border courtesy
- State time zones when you propose times.
- Do not mock someone's English or other working language.
- Price and tax disputes belong in the order thread, not in public comments.
- Political or religious campaigning is not what the marketplace is for; take it elsewhere.
6. Reporting
Use in-product report tools or support. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first, then tell us. CSAM must be reported; we will act without a user-to-user "warning" step.
