1. Our role
SydGiG provides software to agree prices, issue invoices, and, where enabled, hold funds in escrow until work is delivered. Unless a local payment law says otherwise, Spatial Regal is not a bank, money transmitter, e-money issuer, or custodian in every country. Payment processing is performed by licensed partners (such as Stripe or successor providers) in countries where they operate. Where we hold funds as a limited payment collection agent, we do so only to facilitate the Buyer–Seller contract.
Card, wallet, and bank payout availability differs by country. A method that works in one country may be unavailable in another because of the payment partner, sanctions, or local FX law. Last updated 1 September 2026.
2. Prices and currency
- Sellers set prices in a supported currency. Supported display currencies include USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, JPY, BRL, INR, CNY, MXN, and any additional currencies we enable.
- The currency of the order is the currency in which the Buyer is charged unless the payment partner converts at checkout. Conversion rates, mark-ups, and card-issuer FX fees are set by the payment partner or the Buyer's bank, not by SydGiG, unless we display an explicit SydGiG conversion spread.
- We may show approximate converted amounts for convenience. They are not a guaranteed settlement rate.
- Prices must include all mandatory tax-inclusive display rules that apply to the Seller (for example, VAT-inclusive pricing to EU consumers where the Seller is required to charge VAT).
3. Platform fees
SydGiG may charge Seller commissions, Buyer service fees, subscription plan fees (Free, Starter, Pro, Studio or successor names), boosts, or disbursement fees. The applicable fee is shown before you confirm a paid action or in the plan comparison. We may change fees with notice as described in the Terms, and with any P2B notice period that applies to EU professional users.
Payment-network fees, chargeback fees, FX, and failed-payout fees may be passed through. You authorise us and our payment partner to deduct fees from amounts collected or from your payout balance.
4. Escrow lifecycle
When escrow is used, funds typically move through: pending → funded → in progress → delivered → released, or to disputed, refunded, or cancelled as appropriate.
- The Buyer authorises a charge for the agreed amount plus any Buyer-side fees and taxes collected at checkout.
- Funds are captured and held by the payment partner or escrow arrangement ("funded"). Work should not be treated as paid until status is funded, except where the parties agree otherwise in writing.
- The Seller performs the work. Status may move to in progress.
- The Seller marks delivered and the Buyer has a review window stated in the order (or a default window we display, typically several days).
- If the Buyer accepts, or the review window expires without a valid dispute, funds are released to the Seller net of fees ("released").
- If a dispute is opened in time, funds remain held under the Dispute Resolution Policy.
- Refunds and cancellations follow the Refunds policy.
Escrow is not insurance, a guarantee of quality, or a bank deposit. It is a limited holding mechanism. Interest, if any, belongs to SydGiG or the payment partner unless law requires otherwise.
5. Payouts
Sellers must complete payout onboarding required by the payment partner, which may include identity, tax, and bank-account verification. Payouts can be delayed or reversed for fraud, disputes, sanctions hits, incomplete KYC, or network failures. Minimum payout thresholds and schedules are shown in the payments dashboard when enabled.
You must only use payout accounts in your own name or your registered business name. Using third-party accounts may result in suspension and funds being returned to the source where possible.
6. Payment, consumer, and financial-services rules
- EEA/UK: payment services may be provided by a licensed PSP. Strong Customer Authentication (PSD2/PSR) may be required. We are not your payment-account provider unless a separate licence disclosure says so.
- United States: payments may be processed by Stripe or another FinCEN-registered partner. SydGiG is not an FDIC-insured bank.
- Brazil: arrangements will follow Banco Central rules applicable to the partner (including PIX where offered).
- India: RBI / FEMA restrictions may limit cross-border services; you must use permitted routes.
- Africa and others: central-bank FX and remittance rules apply to you. We do not circumvent exchange-control law.
- Card-network (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) and wallet rules bind you when you use those rails.
- We may refuse or reverse a payment that appears to violate AML, CFT, sanctions, or network rules. See Sanctions.
7. Cards and PCI
Do not send full card numbers through SydGiG messages, invoices, or files. Card data must be entered only in the payment partner's fields. We are not a PCI-DSS merchant-of-record for raw PAN storage.
8. Taxes on fees and on services
Platform fees may be subject to VAT, GST, sales tax, or similar. Service fees between Buyer and Seller may also be taxable. See the Tax Information Notice. SydGiG may collect tax on Platform fees where it is the supplier. SydGiG does not automatically collect every local tax on the underlying freelance service unless a marketplace-facilitator or OSS/IOSS-style rule requires it and we have enabled that collection.
