1. Goal
We aim to make SydGiG perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people with disabilities, in line with WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a practical target. Last updated 1 September 2026.
2. Laws we have in view
- United States: ADA Title III case law as applied to websites, Section 508 for government users, state laws (including California Unruh and others).
- European Union: European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882) and EN 301 549, as they apply to our services from applicable dates.
- United Kingdom: Equality Act 2010 and Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations where they apply.
- Canada: Accessible Canada Act and provincial statutes (including AODA in Ontario).
- Australia: Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
- Other countries' disability-discrimination and digital-accessibility statutes.
3. Measures we take
- Semantic structure, keyboard access, visible focus, and text alternatives for meaningful images where we control the UI.
- Colour contrast targets on brand surfaces; we continue to improve custom components.
- Captions: live meetings depend on the browser and OS; we encourage users to enable captions.
- User-generated content (portfolio images, PDFs you upload) may not meet WCAG; Sellers should provide accessible alternatives when they can.
4. Known limitations
Some studio tools and third-party meeting components may not yet meet every WCAG success criterion. We are iterating. Maps or visual-only portfolio items may lack text equivalents until the uploader adds them.
5. Feedback and compatibility
Email accessibility@sydgig.com with the page URL, a description of the barrier, and your assistive technology if relevant. We aim to reply within 14 days. Compatible target: current major browsers and common screen readers. This statement does not limit any statutory accessibility complaint right.
