1. Minimum age
You must be at least 18 years old, and at least the age of majority in your country or territory if that is higher (for example, 19–21 in some jurisdictions). We do not permit accounts for children. Last updated 1 September 2026.
2. United States — COPPA
SydGiG is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. Parents: email privacy@sydgig.com.
3. EEA/UK digital consent age
GDPR allows member states to set a digital-consent age between 13 and 16. Because SydGiG is a labour and contracting marketplace, we require 18+ everywhere rather than offering a child service with parental consent. We still delete under-age data if discovered.
4. Other countries
Many countries prohibit or heavily restrict children's use of marketplaces and payment products (including India, Brazil, Korea, China, Australia, South Africa, and others). We apply 18+ globally to meet the strictest practical common standard for paid work. If a local law requires a higher age for a category of work, that higher age applies.
5. Content about children
Do not upload children's personal data, images of children, or services targeting children except where a lawful professional engagement (for example, a licensed educator contracted by a parent) strictly requires it and you are the controller with a lawful basis. CSAM is prohibited and reported.
